I’m finally fixing this so I can actually follow people and not use my work account. So I will be moving to a new account.
Ridiculous. That’s really all I have to say.
Conan with a stunt man is phenomenal. You should be watching this.
Witness of the gang mob beating in Chicago tonight.
Does getting jumped become less traumatic after your first time?
Modest Mouse - Float On
There’s a dad trying to teach his 4 year old daughter how to swing a bat outside my window.
Instructions include but are not limited to:
“Get your hands loaded”
“Stride, Stride, Stride”
“Watch my head. Look at me. Watch my head”
Also I think the bat is bigger than she is.
Monday Morning
by Death Cab for Cutie
Another solid album from Death Cab. The album seems really diverse in songs/instruments, but I like what I hear so far.
Apple Horse, “Filthy Halls”
Their name may be Apple Horse, and that imagery may confuse you (a horse named Apple? …A horse made of apples?!), but let’s look at the bigger picture here: the music. Clearly, these Idaho natives got it right in the making of their debut EP, Tuck Me In, Woodsman, which came out in late 2010. With pop melodies joining forces with entrancing vocals in a delicious unity, this EP is a short and sweet collection of songs to accompany you into the summer months. What more could you ask for?
Of course, if you dig this you can always go to their website, which has their entire self-released EP available for streaming. Better yet? If you like them on Facebook, you can download two tracks for free!
(PS- If you want to take credit for finding them first, you better hurry: MTV has already started placing the band’s music in some of their shows)
I really like this album a lot. You should listen.
RIYL Cold War Kids, listening to good music.
The Horrible Crowes album drops September 6th.
Brian Fallon of The Gaslight Anthem is doing some night time music (whatever that means) and I’m excited.
I can’t wait to hear this.I always said I never would do a “solo” record so that’s why I found a partner in crime in Ian. So it’s not going to be the acoustic Brian Fallon road show. There’s organs, pianos, even (gasp) strings!!! There’s drums, everything. So don’t expect a folk record. Here’s a good description, if Tom Waits, the National, the Afghan Whigs, Bon Iver, and Nick Cave made a band with Percy Sledge that’d be called The Horrible Crowes.via
Do you ever abuse your fame?
No, I don’t even have fun with it. I’m not even kidding — it’s not fun. It sucks. People ask me for money all of the time [laughs]. You get requests from family members and friends. A second cousin of mine, at my grandfather’s funeral, he brings me this picture and says, “I want to show you something. It’s my dog.” And he had put a captain’s hat on his dog, and he was like, “Can you get my dog in the movies?” We’re at a funeral.
And the power goes out.
Fuuuuuuu
Stupid Storm messing up my stupid DirecTV.
My head might explode if the game doesn’t come back on.
